Baoguo Temple

The Baoguo Temple was built in Zhejiang Province, China, in the 1st century AD. Situated at the foot of Mount Emei, the Baoguo Temple is one of the most well preserved wooden structures in China. The temple comprises columns, halls and towers built over the years by different dynasties. At present, the temple halls are used for exhibiting carved stone screens, Guanyin statues, traditional Chinese wedding attire and bronze sculptures among other artifacts.

Amazing Fact: The Baoguo Temple is considered the second oldest surviving wooden structure, in Southern China.
