Benagil Sea Cave is the most iconic of the system of caves that lines the Algarve coast in Portugal. The Algarve is known for its pristine beaches that attract sun-seeking tourists from all over Europe. The cave comprises naturally occurring oculus that towers over its own secluded beach. This cave is located around the corner from a beach in the tiny town of Benagil. The coastline runs for about 150 km and is dotted with alternating beaches, cliffs and caves, which bear interesting formations like skylights and often host picturesque variations of light throughout the day.
