Hatim sat awestruck, watching the miraculous transformation of the dog into a human! He addressed the youth, “Who are you and what have I just witnessed? Are you a magician?” The youth replied, “I am a merchant and you have just released me from the magical spell. I have been betrayed by my wife. One night, when I was sleeping, she, with the help of a magician, struck this nail on my head and turned me into a dog. She then left me on the streets to wander. As soon as the street dogs saw me, they pounced upon me, as I was new. I ran towards the desert and that is when you saved me.” The young merchant thanked Hatim. He also requested Hatim to accompany him to his house and help him recover it from his wife. Kind-hearted Hatim could not refuse and became a part of another adventure.
