Its habitat usually includes ridges and it flies 5000 to 9000 feet in the Indian parts, by flying over trees and hills. Its diet is comprised of nectar from flowers in higher altitudes. This butterfly produces 2 broods, one in spring during the months of May and June and one in autumn from August to October.
