Bicentennial Torch

The Bicentennial Torch is a monument that was built in Guanajuato, Mexico in 2010. The Bicentennial Torch was built to honour the sacrifices made by many for a free Mexico. The monument is 45 metres in height with 350 metres made up of hundred rings interspaced with hundred voids, representing the centennial of the revolutionary movement.

Amazing Fact: The rings are crowned by a cauldron that shoots a powerful beam of light into infinity, symbolizing a perpetual flame of Mexico’s independence and future. At nightfall the structure looks like an urban lamp that enlightens its surroundings.
