Robert T. Bigelow bought this Ranch from Terry & Gwen Sherman, after the strange reports of paranormal activity on the property had been reported. The former owners of the ranch experienced events from the first day they moved in: cattle mutilations and disappearances, UFOs & their occupants and floating balls of light. Other creatures and beings, including exotic, multicoloured birds that were certainly not native to the region and could not be identified were also seen. There were numerous close encounters with dark, 9 inches tall beasts that resembled a Bigfoot or Sasquatch. Bigelow, who professes a long-time fascination with paranormal topics funded a paranormal research group called NIDS (the National Institute for Discovery Science). NIDS personnel were assigned to investigate the ranch for several years.
