Once, Bill, the mouse and Ducky, the cat were playing the game of hide and seek. But Ducky was very clever; he had made a plan in his mind that after catching Bill he would devour Bill, the mouse. When Bill came to know about his plan he started escaping. Ducky also started chasing him. In order to save himself, Bill hid behind a berry bush. The berries smelt very tasty. He plucked the berries and ate many sweet berries till his stomach was full. This made him unable to move.
Then Bill went to sleep. Meanwhile, Ducky came looking for Bill and heard Bill’s snoring in the bushes. He squatted down towards the hedge and pounced on him. Bill moved quickly and climbed up the tree. But Bill was sitting at the edge of the branch. Ducky knew the branch would break if he went further. He shook the branch to make Bill fall but Bill clutched the branch as hard as he could. Ducky became tired soon and went from there. Bill hurriedly ran to his burrow and fell asleep dreaming of berries.
