Black-eyed Susan, a wildflower, is categorised as an annual to a short-lived perennial across its range a flowering plant. It is famous for its bright-yellow, daisy-like flowers with dark centres. The stems and scattered, oval leaves are covered with bristly hairs. Black-eyed Susan has been found to have immuno-stimulant activity. The juice squeezed from the roots is used for ear-aches.
