With more than 37 species, agamas are also called rainbow lizards due to beautiful display of colours by males. Males fight often using their tails and use head-bobbing and gaping of their mouth as threat display. They can run fast using only their hind legs while they need to run for cover. Their sticky tongues help catch their prey.
