Boomer was a dog who never followed rules. He always did the opposite of
what he was told to do.
Boomer was always asked, “Why did you do it? You were told not to do it.”
But everything fell on deaf ears as nothing seemed to bother Boomer.
One day, Boomer’s class teacher said, “Children, do your work quietly.”.
As usual, Boomer ignored what the teacher said and started talking to his partner.
The teacher heard them talking and punished both Boomer and his partner.
Boomer’s partner was angry and screamed, “You got me into trouble because
you did not listen to the teacher.”
At home, Boomer used to play games on the computer all the time.
His parents were fed up as he did not spend much time with them.
So one day, Boomer’s father ordered, “From now on, you will not play any games on the computer.”
Boomer wore a long face. But he ignored his father’s order and continued playing his games.
Now one day, Boomer was riding his bicycle when he came to a traffic signal. He was not wearing a helmet.
The light on his side was red. Boomer thought, ‘Though the light is red yet
I do not see any vehicle coming from the opposite side.’
Thinking so, he started crossing the road ignoring the red light.
Suddenly, a speeding car came from the opposite side and hit Boomer’s bicycle.
Boomer was injured and taken to the hospital. His parents came immediately.
Boomer told his parents, “It was my fault. I did not follow the traffic rules.”
He continued, “I have learnt my lesson. From now on, I will always do what I am told.”
Boomer’s parents were happy and relieved that their son had finally learnt his lesson.
Boomer was back home after a few days. But now, it was a changed Boomer!
Moral : Always follow rules.
