Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is alleged to have died in a plane crash during World War II. Some say that this was just a ploy to help him escape to the USSR. Several committees which were set up to investigate his death did not give any conclusive report. Many people believe that Subhash Chandra Bose breathed his last in Soviet custody, years after the alleged crash in Taiwan. Lt Colonel Habibur Rahman Khan, Netaji’s trusted Aide-de-Camp, is believed to be the sole survivor of that fateful plane crash. But he never substantiated Netaji’s death. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s possible survival still haunts the Indian nation.
