David always wanted to build a beautiful temple for God, but only had drafted the plan as God wanted his son to do so. David had shared with God the plan, the structure, and the place where the temple had to be constructed. Soon he offered to give gold, silver, marbles, and other precious materials that were required to construct the temple. Solomon also approached King Hiram to offer cedar wood for constructing the temple. Soon the construction began and after seven years the temple was done. He soon placed the golden covenant chest into the temple which was sparkling with light and happiness was filled in the room.
