Burning Ice

Bob dares Jack to squeeze an ice cube in the palm of his hand, as tightly as he can for 5 minutes. Within a matter of seconds Jack starts to feel a burning sensation. Trying to prove his manhood Jack bears the pain as long as he can. About 65 seconds later, Jack opens his hand and quickly wipes his palm clean, revealing a big white blister. What caused this to happen?

Answer
Bob coated the ice cube with salt before he handed it to Jack. The salt causes the ice cube to melt at a lower temperature. This creates a burning sensation, which feels similar to holding a lit match in the palm of your hand. The tighter you squeeze, the more it burns. Within a matter of 90 seconds it will create a blister (This may vary depending on the person).
