It is a semi evergreen, trailing perennial flower. The name campanula refers to the shape of the flowers. Campanula blooms at a height of 0.25 to 0.75 feet with blue, indigo and violet flowers. It spreads quickly to form dense blankets of dainty, star-shaped lilac-blue blooms with white centres. It is a creeping perennial, perfect for rock gardens or sunny rock walls. It prefers moist, well-drained soil, but can tolerate drier conditions as well. The bloom time is May to June.
