Canon Beach is a city located in Clatsop County, in Oregon, the United States of America. Known primarily for its world-famous landmark, the Haystack Rock, which stands tall on the beach at 235 feet, Canon Beach has been a tourist destination. The city has a rich history, with its name first being mentioned in the accounts of William Clark, one of the duos in the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition. However, the city only received its present name after 1922, when Elk Creek was renamed ‘Canon Beach’.
