Cascadas de Agua Azul are picturesque waterfalls found in Chiapas, Mexico. Spanish for ‘blue waterfalls’, the Cascadas de Agua Azul comprise many cataracts that follow one after another in a sequence, with the larger cataracts gushing water from as high as 6 metres. Due to the high mineral-content, the waters of the Agua Azul are beautiful turquoise blue colour. The mineral-content has also made stones and trees that the water falls on to be coated with limestone, changing their colour and adding to the charm of the place.
