Princess Luna was never sure of anything. When the queen asked her if she was going out riding, she would say, “Yes certainly. I’ll be going out, maybe!” The queen found this very confusing. “My dear, be clear,” she said, “Either you are certain or you are not. Don’t keep saying ‘certainly, maybe’!” But Luna continued as usual. One day, Prince Colin came to their palace and fell in love with Luna. He found her delightful and finally proposed to her. Luna looked happily at him and said, “Certainly, maybe!” Now, the prince was thoroughly confused. “What exactly does she mean?” he asked the queen. “Dear Colin,” said the queen, “If you love her and she loves you, just marry her! She is always certain, maybe!” The prince burst out laughing. “I’ll make sure first, madam!” he said and married Luna. “Luna, we are married, certainly! And there is no ‘maybe’ about it!” he announced.
