MARVELLOUS GLORY OF LORD
Krishna spoke to Arjun, ‘O valiant Arjun! You are my friend. So, I will give you a knowledge that is still better and sublime than whatever I have revealed already. You should know that all the gods, deities, sages and yogis even, don’t know my real glory although they are born of me. One who knows me as unborn, eternal and Master of the universe, he gets freed of all sins and infatuations. All the qualities of man are created by me. Sages, munis, Manus and all creatures are born by me. I am the cause of the physical world and the spiritual also. I exist in everything. A learned one who understands this is cleansed of all sins. One who remembers me ever as God with devotion and love I bless him with wisdom which enables him to gain me. Then, I set alight the lamp of knowledge in his heart to destroy his ignorance for ever.’
PRAYER OF ARJUN
Arjun prayed, ‘O Lord! Now I realize you are Almighty Lord, Soul Supreme, Ultimate Truth, Sublime Most and Holiest One. You are eternal, unborn, divine, man original and the greatest one. To know you in totality is very difficult. Only you can know yourself. All the sages namely, Narad, Asit, Deval etc say so. Please show me your divine glory and those aspects through which you are omnipresent in all the worlds, everywhere and in everything. How should I think of you ever and know you better?
EVERYWHERE I AM
Krishna said imparting the divine knowledge, ‘O Arjun! Whatever you see, don’t see, movable, immovable in the nature they are all caused by me. I am the God element present in every creature as its life force and consciousness. I am the beginning, middle and the end of all creatures. Amongst lords I am Vishnu, Sun amongst the lights and the Moon amongst celestial bodies.
Amongst Vedas I am Samved, Indra amongst deities, Mind amongst senses and Life in the living creatures. Amongst irascibles I am Shiva, amongst yakshas/demons I am Kuber, Agni amongst Vasus and Meru amongst mountains. I am also Guru Brihaspati, Kartikeya amongst commanders, amongst water bodies I am sea god Varun. I am Bhrigu amongst sages, amongst letters I am sacred OM, I am the mantra chant of yajnas and Himalaya amongst immovables
IN ALL I AM
I am Peepal amongst trees, Narad amongst divine sages, Chitrarath amongst gandharvas, Uchcheshrava amongst horses, Eravat amongst elephants and King amongst people. Amongst weapons I am Vajra, Kamadhenu amongst cows, Karma amongst icons and Vasuki amongst snakes. I am life, I am god of death Yama. Amongst beasts I am Lion and Garuda amongst birds.
I am Wind and I am Ganga. I am water creature and I am armed Rama. I am Knowledge and I am Truth. I am creator Brahma and I am origin, middle and end. I am punishment and I am pardon. I am the mother seed of entire creation. Due to me creation has beauty, fragrance and horrifying destruction. I pervade through the universe and wear it!’
