A young man wanted to learn meditation. He went to a wellknown master and started learning the basics. One day, the student said to his master, “I want to improve my knowledge. I have learnt a lot from you, but I want to learn more. So, I want to study with another master and learn more. What do you think of this idea?” The master replied, “The hunter who chases two rabbits, catches neither.” The student immediately realised his mistake. He understood that he should try to perfect his learning, rather than trying to learn more. Otherwise, he would not excel in anything. No matter what we are learning, we need to focus on and practise our task, rather than thinking about other tasks.
Moral: We should focus on one task at a time.
