Interesting fact : It was taken on Admiral Byrd’s maiden Antarctic expedition in 1928.

The chinook is a rare breed of a dog developed in New Hampshire. For chinooks, the United Kennel Club breed standard states that the ideal colouration runs from light honey colour to reddish-gold. Black markings on the inside corners of the eyes are preferred.No white markings are allowed. It is 53-69 cm tall and weighs 55-90 kg.
