While the summer sun shone bright, an Ant ran all around collecting food to store for the winter. All the animals in the forest were enjoying the flora and fauna. The animals lay down in the shades of the trees, enjoying delicious fruits.
On her way back home, the Ant spotted a Chrysalis moving at a slow pace. She felt pity for the animal stuck in his cocoon while the Ant could run all around the forest. She stopped and said, “O poor, pitiable animal, I feel sorry for you. You cannot enjoy the summer to the fullest and are stuck in your cocoon. I wish you could run around and climb up trees like me. But alas! you can barely move.”
Little did the Ant know that the Chrysalis would soon blossom into a beautiful butterfly.
A few days later, on her way back home, the Ant saw the cocoon of the Chrysalis lying under the tree. She wondered what could have happened to the animal in the cocoon.
Suddenly, she heard someone call her. It was a beautiful butterfly sitting on the branch of the tree. The butterfly said, “O dear Ant, I am the poor animal in the cocoon you felt pity for. Look at my beautiful wings. Now my time has come and I can fly off to wherever I want to. Now you can boast of your powers as long as you can fly in the big blue sky with me.” The butterfly spread her wings and flew off into the big blue sky. After a while, the Ant could not see her any more.
