Interesting fact : Kopi luwak or civet coffee originates from the belly of the Asian palm civet; it is partly digested coffee beans excreted by the animal.

This nocturnal mammal is found in Asia and Africa, and has over a dozen species. Other than coffee, the African civet also contributes musk for the manufacture of perfume; it acts as a stabilizing agent. It has the physical features of a cat and a mongoose. They are mainly carnivores but feed on wild fruit as well.
