You will need:

1. Camera
2. Internet
3. Map of your neighbourhood
4. Garbage bags
5. Rubber gloves
6. First-aid kit

We look at dirt and garbage everywhere and feel somebody should clean it up!! Create a group of ‘somebodies’ to create awareness and clean up your neighbourhood.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Take the help of a friendly adult and create different groups within your circle of friends.
2. Different groups can take up different responsibilities, varying from cleaning up the neighbourhood, to posting the photos of areas that were covered in garbage and have been cleaned up. Remember to wear rubber gloves before taking clean-up derive.
3. Create awareness amongst your community by tying up with your neighbourhood newspaper. Post notifications online on the various networking sites used by you and your friends, with parental consent.
4. Create a network of active volunteers who post the photos of people littering your area so as to dissuade them. Over the week-ends organize a clean-up drive.

RESULT

Garbage and refuse is becoming an increasing problem in every part of our country. However, as the youth of the community create awareness within your own neighbourhood.
