The clothes dryer which is a real wonder and a very useful machine was invented in the year 1799. Pochon, a Frenchman invented the first dryer and name it ventilator. It was a forerunner of the contemporary plummet dryer. This dryer was made up of a revolving metal drum and had openings bored into it. Wet clothes were kept inside the drum. The drum was kept above an open flame and somebody had to crank clothes by hand.
Later George T. Sampson, an African American, got a patent for similar machine like the one made by Pochon. In his dryer, Sampson used a stove for heating in place of an open fire used by Pochon. With the passage of time there has been many modifications done in the dryer. During 1990s, new improved environment friendly and allergic reaction reducing dryers were made. Electrical clothes dryers came into view approximately in the year 1915. Current clothes dryers consist of some of the immense characteristics as electronic feeler that senses the drying of clothes.
