They have exceptionally long canine teeth, almost 1.6 inches. The clouded leopard is solitary, and in India, only camera sightings have been witnessed. Gestation is 93 days or so, and a litter consists of one to five cubs. Shrinking forest cover and poaching have affected their numbers. The species has become extinct in Taiwan. Only an estimated ten thousand remain in the wild.
