Once King Milind sent an invitation to saint Nagsen. An ambassador reached Nagsen and requested him that King Milind wanted to meet him and that he had come with an invitation.
Nagsen replied that he would come definitely. This is nobody like saint Nagsen. It is simply a name. The ambassador reported the matter to the King and informed him about his approval. The King wondered to know the reply.
Nagsen reached in a chariot. The King welcomed him. Nagsen accepted the King’s welcome but there was no saint Nagsen. The King wondered and asked if there was no Nagsen then who had come, who had accepted welcome and who was answering his question.
Nagsen showed the chariot to the King and asked him to confirm whether it was a chariot. The King replied positively. Then the horses were taken away from the chariot. Nagsen again asked whether the horses were the chariot. The King’s reply came in the negative. After this the supporting wooden planks were removed from the chariot. Nagsen asked the King if those wooden planks could be called the chariot. Again, the reply was a big ‘No’. In the end there was nothing like a chariot on the ground because one by one all the parts of the chariot were removed.
Nagsen asked the King, “Where is the chariot now?” The King could not reply. Nagsen explained that the chariot was simply a combination and nothing else.
The example of the chariot applies on our life too. This is exactly what we are. If we think it is clear that a personality is a combination of our good and bad qualities, we form the shape of a personality as per our qualities.
Can we improve our personality by following some good rules and attract others by our personality? Can we hypnotise others? Can our words be like a line on a stone and can we put everlasting effect on the minds of people? These questions inspired me to write this book.
I gave my thoughts a practical shape when Shri Sawan Gupta not only encouraged me to write this book but also permitted me to publish it. This book is a key to frame your personality impressive and talented.
I send my gratitude to those who have given me cooperation to prepare this book.
Readers are requested to send their frank opinions regarding the merits and the demerits of the book.
With love and good wishes
