Once, there lived a lawn gnome named Cooky. He loved summers because he could play about in the lawn. He hated winters as he had to stay indoors all day. One cold winter morning, Cooky had a visitor. It was none other than Snoshum, the Snowman. He was tired of Cooky’s complaints about winter. Snoshum loved winters and hated summers. In summer, he had to go into hiding. Otherwise, Snoshum would melt and disappear. ‘At least Cooky can easily stay alive through winter!’ thought Snoshum. He dragged Cooky outside. He made him play with snowballs. Snoshum also made Cooky build another snowman and dress him up. They named him Snook. Cooky had a lot of fun that day. After that day, Cooky began to enjoy winters, too. He had a lot of fun with Snoshum and Snook. In summer, he helped them stay safe in the freezer in his cellar!
