• Scientific name : Coreopsis verticillata
• Family : Asteraceae

Coreopsis is a herbaceous perennial wildflower that typically grows in dense, bushy clumps. It grows up to 3 feet tall. The flowers appear singly in loose clusters in a profuse and lengthy late spring to late summer bloom. Shearing plants in mid-summer will promote an autumn rebloom. The leaves of thread leaf coreopsis are very fine and divided into thread-like segments. The plant is beautiful with its fine foliage even if it never flowered. The flowers are abundant and bloom continuously throughout the entire summer.
