Aptly named, this fish looks like a crocodile with its flat headand a long body which is mottled for camouflage. They are found in mangroves, seagrass or coral reefs at depths up to 30 metres. It can grow up to 50 cm, the average being 35 cm. It feeds on small fish and crustaceans. Its lifespan is 2 years.
