It was common for fairies and demons to walk in each other’s territory, but for a human it was a dangerous task. Hatim said to his companion, “We must be careful; you fly in the sky and I will take the form of a demon so that we may not be caught.” Hatim took out the green feathers, burned them, mixed them in water and covered himself with it. He was transformed into the size and structure of a demon! One day, a demon, who was guarding the region, saw them. As they were strangers, he questioned them. Hatim asked him if it was a crime to be a stranger. He also said that he had lost his family in a battle and was going to some faraway land. The demon guard felt ashamed of himself and let them pass. Thus, without any more complications, Hatim and the prince were able to cross the dangerous land safely.
