“It’s all the silly movies you’ve been watching, Amelia,” said Grandma sternly, “You just say your prayers and go to sleep. Then you won’t see aliens and UFOs and all kinds of foolish things!” Amelia was sure that Grandma was wrong. But she was soon asleep. The window was open and through it came a little purple-coloured man in a green suit. He carried a small bag and took something like sand out of it and shook it over Amelia. Suddenly, she was flying! Amelia flew up and saw her father’s farm spread out below her. She sat on the branch of the tallest tree and then flew off again with the purple man across rooftops and hills, rivers and meadows. There was a rush of cold air and a loud bang. Amelia sat up suddenly and saw she was in bed, dreaming! But as she stepped down, she saw golden sand on the floor! It was real!
