In Babylon, the King captured the people of Jerusalem and wanted them to serve the King. They were put on special diet and were made to do tasks, which would make them strong. Daniel was one of the captives and he had two friends named Shadrach and Abednego. One day, Ashpenaz came to them and asked them to serve the King and make him happy. He had special likings for Daniel and knew that the king would kill him if he became thin. He asked him to give them fresh vegetables and fruits at least for ten days, as this would keep them healthy. On the tenth day, he found all of them healthier and stronger.
