Farmer Nidd was a very cranky old man. He put up a large sign on the gate that read: DO NOT DISTURB. When Buck and his group of naughty friends saw this, they decided to play a prank on Farmer Nidd. They made many little placards with ‘Do not disturb’ written on them and hung them all over his farm! When he went to milk the cows, they had ‘Do not disturb’ hung around their necks! He found the horse had one too when he had to hitch it to the cart. The hens refused to get off their eggs, because the sign said: Do not disturb! One morning the cock didn’t crow and Farmer Nidd got late. He found the cock fast asleep on the fence with the sign near him! Farmer Nidd took off his sign from the gate and mysteriously everything began working fine!
