Partheon, the Ninja turtle, was a naughty turtle, always looking for oysters and shells. He loved playing with them. Not only were they pretty but also they had their secrets hidden inside. The one thing he wanted was to have the biggest collection of oysters and shells, more than any of his other friends. ‘Everyone will want to be my friend if I have the largest collection,’ he would say to himself, ‘They will not ignore me, like they do now!’ One day, while playing alone in the ocean’s deep waters, Partheon went below the Cascade Line by mistake. The Cascade Line was the line at the bottom of the ocean, after which the black waters began. They were blacker than the blackest part of the night. No one went below it! All the elders had told the children strictly, never to go below it. It was the home of Balumbi dragon! It was the most ugly, dangerous and horrifying dragon. No one could kill Balumbi, however hard they tried! But Partheon forgot! He forgot because he was chasing the big oyster in which he could see the biggest pearl he had ever seen. The pearl was so big and bright that it shone like the star. It made the pitch black under the Cascade Line brighten up like the day. Partheon followed it and tried to keep up with the speeding oyster, but soon lost it! Just then, he heard the loud thundering roar of Balumbi, very close to where he stood. He froze with fear! Panicked, Partheon ran. But wherever he ran, the roar kept coming closer and closer. Tired, he grabbed the nearest hard object he could find and threw it in the direction of the roar. He kept grabbing whatever he could find in the darkness and kept throwing.
There was a loud roar and then pindrop silence! Partheon strained hard to see in the darkness, but there was an eerie silence; it was like a deathly silence after a huge storm. Balumbi dragon was no more. Partheon did not know what he looked like or how he killed him. But he had put an end to the horrifying and scariest dragon of the water world. Partheon had many friends now. Nobody still goes below the Cascade Line. It is just a very dark place.
