DRY RING IN WATER (Amazing Science Games and Experiments)

Materials Required:

1. A plate
2. One glass
3. A ring
4. Water
5. Newspaper
6. Match box

Procedure:

1. Pour some water into the plate and place a ring in the water.
2. Afterwards, burn the newspaper and place it in the glass. As the flames start extinguishing, turn the glass upside down in the plate.
3. After some time, you will see that the water of the plate escapes into the glass.
4. Now, you can easily pick up the ring without wetting your hands.

This is what happens:

When you poke the burning newspaper into the glass then the presented air in the glass becomes hot and goes out of the glass. And when the fire gets extinguished then the hot air becomes cool and contracts. So, the air pressure of the glass decreased. That’s why the water escapes into the glass.
