Dusty was a sober dog. He was very sweet. He loved peace,
and lived calmly.
Dusty lived with his parents in a quiet and beautiful little neighborhood.
One day, a new family moved into the neighbourhood.
They came to meet Dusty and his family. The mother introduced her son to Dusty.
His name was Bruno.
Dusty did not find Bruno to be friendly. When Dusty showed him his toys,
Bruno took one of them and broke it.
Then he laughed wickedly. Dusty was shocked.
One day, Dusty and his friends were making a mud castle. Suddenly,
they saw Bruno coming towards them.
They thought that he was coming to make friends with them. But to their horror,
he just kicked their castle and went off.
Dusty’s friends were very angry and wanted to teach Bruno a lesson.
But Dusty advised, “By fighting, we will become like him.”
But Bruno’s bullying did not stop. One day, he made Whiskers fall by pushing him.
People started calling him “Bruno, the wicked”.
Days went by. One day, Dusty was walking in the park
when he heard someone shout for help.
Dusty found that it was Bruno who was shouting. Bruno had fallen into a pit.
Dusty shouted, “Wait, I will get help!”
If Dusty wanted, he could have ignored Bruno but he did not do so.
He ran to his friends and told them everything.
One of Dusty’s friends told him to let Bruno remain there. But Dusty did not agree.
Dusty took a rope and they all ran towards the pit.
They pulled Bruno out and took him home. Bruno’s parents thanked them all.
But Bruno was quiet.
After a few days, Dusty and his friends were playing as usual. Suddenly,
Dusty saw Bruno.
He told his friends, “Bruno is coming.” They all became cautious.
Bruno said, “I wish to apologise for my bad behaviour earlier.”
He promised never to be a bully again.
Dusty and his friends were surprised. Then Bruno said, “Can I be your friend?”
All of them said “Yes”.
Dusty and his friends forgave Bruno and they became good friends.
All was well in the end, wasn’t it?
Moral : It is always good to forgive others.
