Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower was built between 1887 and 1889, in Paris, France.
The Eiffel Tower is a wrought iron lattice tower that was built as the entrance to the World Fair in 1889. Named after the engineer whose company had designed and built the Tower, Gustave Eiffel, 324 metres in height, the Eiffel tower is one of the most recognizable structures in the world.
Amazing Fact: During World War-II, the French cut the lift cables in the Tower, so that when Hitler visited, he might have to climb all the way up.
