It is named for its long white moustache which extends beyond the shoulders and resembles that of the German emperor Wilhelm II. It is grey in colour, with black hands and feet and a brown tail. It is an omnivorous animal, and its diet largely consists of fruits, insects, small rodents, plants and eggs. They live in troops led by the eldest female.
