Everyone feared the ‘Cave of Danger’ in the town of Mayville. Whenever anyone got lost there, they never returned. The townsfolk were frightened that one day a monster would come out of it. So, they left food at the entrance of the cave, and it always disappeared. One day, young Paul decided to confront the monster. He went inside, finding his way with a torch. Finally, Paul came to a huge cavern but he slipped. However, as he fell, he heard a group of people shout, “Surprise!!” They were those people who had never returned to Mayville. It was an old headman’s idea. He had tried to achieve great things, but was always held back by the fears of the people. So, he came up with the story of the monster to show how such an attitude was limiting. However, the townsfolk still believed in the monster until someone brave enough as Paul entered the ‘Cave of Danger’.
