Only 5.4 mm in length, the fairy fly is usually brown, yellow or black colours. These bugs can be found in all types of terrestrial habitat, ranging from deserts to rainforests. They prefer temperate tropical regions. With the adult life of the fairy fly ranging from 3 to 11 days, this bug develops within the embryo before it hatches. As for their diet, all fairy flies are considered to be parasitoids of other insects’ eggs.
