Falkor and Fafnir

A dragon called Falkor was the most trusted friend and advisor to the king of Lavender. When Falkor turned 100, he requested the king that he wanted to retire. “Falkor, I give you the task of finding your successor,” the king said. That night Falkor was taking a walk on the mountain. He came across a tree with lovely white flowers. He smelled the flowers and sneezed loudly. With the sneeze out came a little dragon. He said to Falkor, “My name is Fafnir. I stay inside the white flower. When you sniffed the flower, a bee was about to bite you, but I tickled your nose and saved you.” Falkor realised that Fafnir was perfect as his successor. The next day, Falkor took Fafnir to the king and said, “Fafnir is considerate, kind and has a razor-sharp mind. He would be my successor.” Fafnir became the advisor to the king, while Falkor enjoyed his retirement.
