Gideon was more worried about raising the army, as it was a challenging task for him. He asked God, “What do I do?” The people had been follwoing the practices of Canaan and worshipped the Baals, Even Gideon’s father was involved in building a baal. As per god’s instruction, he and ten servants had to work on cutting down the scared trees, and baal. God had asked him to build up altar in its place. He did and performed the task at night. Soon, everyone came to know about the same, and reached Gideon’s place to kill him. His father supported him and his belief in God. He said, “Why to support the baal, when God is there to help them?” He asked the town folks to kill his son, if he was found guilty.
