Do you know: The Choctaw people place the body of the dead on a plate.

According to Choctaw customs, the name of the deceased must never be taken. They believe that if someone takes the name of a person who has died, they are making their spirit restless. Also, the Choctaw people have a custom where the dead person is placed on a plate and left to decompose naturally. After 2-3 years of the person’s death, his bones are presented at a feast organized in his honour.
