This colourful, flamboyant cuttlefish is patterned and can change its body colour in a flash. Measuring 8 cm, it has three pairs of papillae on the back, broad, blade-like arms and arm suckers arranged in four rows. With a small cuttlebone it can float only for a short time; instead, they walk on the sea floor and eat fish and crustaceans.
