Forbidden City

The Forbidden City is a Chinese Imperial Palace built in Beijing, China between 1406 and 1420. The Imperial Palace for Emperors from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, the Forbidden City is, in fact, a complex of 980 buildings (totalling 9,999 rooms). The main palace complex is built in traditional Chinese Palatial style of architecture. After 1925, the complex was converted into a museum.


Amazing Fact: Each of the 9,999 rooms is decorated with artifacts, specifically statues. As the importance of the room grows, so does the number of statues in it.
