Two brothers, who had adjoining farms, fought bitterly over a small issue. This was followed by weeks of silence. One morning, the elder brother met an old man who requested, “Could I help you with a few small jobs here?” The elder brother said, “Sure! My brother used his bulldozer and made a creek between our farms. I want you to build a fence so that I may not see my brother’s place or face anymore.” The man said, “I think I understand the situation.” When the elder brother returned at sunset, he was shocked! There was no fence at all, but a bridge stretching from one side of the creek to the other! To his surprise, his younger brother came towards them, saying, “Brother! You built this bridge after all I’ve said and done. I am so sorry.” The elder brother couldn’t help but say, “I am also sorry for whatever happened.” They both thanked the old man for bridging the gap between them.
