The first object didn’t require the writer to keep a pot of ink on hand was the fountain pen, which stores a supply of ink in a reservoir. In 1884, an American insurance salesman and inventor named Lewis E. Waterman, developed the first fountain pen. He invented it to make easier for the people ‘to sign on the dotted line’.
The fountain pen’s design came after a thousand years of using quill-pens. Early inventors or writers used natural ink reserve found in the hollow channel of a bird’s feather and tried to produce similar effect. By introducing the fountain pen, people went ahead, not necessary to dip the equipment in the ink. It gives a pen that would hold more ink and not require constant dipping into the ink well. The best quality about this pen is that it holds ink in itself. This technique is really applauded by everyone and extend in today’s world. Without the pen it’s not possible to deals with any work especially, office work. It’s an innovative invention and beneficial for all the time to come.
