George and Matthew were the best of friends. They were neighbours and grew up together in a farmers’ community. After a few years, George got married and had two children, whereas, Matthew remained unmarried. That year, there were floods due to heavy rains. Matthew’s crops were completely destroyed whereas George’s losses were minimal. But Matthew had saved a lot of money and thus he thought, ‘George has a family. I must offer him help during these difficult times!’ So, he took some money and food before heading towards George’s house. That same evening, George told his wife, “Our losses were little whereas Matthew has incurred a huge loss. Besides he has no family. We must help him.” His wife agreed. Thus, George left for Matthew’s house, taking some money and food. Just then, he bumped into Matthew and both friends saw the packets in each other’s hands. They understood their mutual love for each other and remained the best friends for life.
