Friendship Day is the day on which friends tie friendship bands on one another’s wrists. This day brings friends together and makes them learn the art of sharing and helping. When friends get together, they enjoy themselves the whole day. They party together and play together. Even in schools, Friendship Day is celebrated with high spirits. Right from the morning, friends start greeting one another tying bands of various colours and sizes on one another’s wrists. Teachers too participate in their activities and enjoy to celebrate the day with enthusiasm. There is a great rush of school going children in the shops selling friendship bands. Sometimes the rush is so great that shops run short of bands. Children tie friendship bands on the wrists of their teachers as well. So, a sort of friendship seem to develop between the teacher and the student.
