Living in coral reefs, lagoons, seaward reefs and rocky bottoms are these big-eyed fish.  Juveniles have bodies covered with brown and red patches and become brighter with age. It has large eyes, a symmetrical body-shape, and small elliptical spots on the fins. Measuring 12 inches long, this nocturnal fish feeds on shrimp, squid, octopuses, crabs, small fish and polychaetes.
